Hello All!
These are the notes taken from the 9 a.m. April 23
workshop
of Revs. Darla and Alden Hughes. As notes of
course they
consist of short
phrases in which I attempted to catch the
meaning of their fully
spoken sentences. I apologize for the
missing words and any
seemingly incomplete thoughts. The
words within brackets are my
attempt to clarify.
The workshop began with
Ellie singing "Unchained Melody"
God, I need your Love, speed
your Love to me.

Darla: "You are awake. The
kingdom of heaven is
your choice. Transformation isn't difficult. It
is as
simple as you choose.
"You cannot judge. I am a reflection of your mind.
"Desire shortens time. You can come into a constant
awareness of your awakening. We have memories of
our awakening [our continuing awakened state] glimpses
of our reality. Crucial to your awakening is to
understand
there is no world. There are 21 places in ACIM
that say
I am not a body. It does not define us except as not as
a body. WB Lesson: I am one self united
with my creator.
"You can function in the world without being
here. After
while you don't care [are not startled] when you hear
the
revelation that God is in you. Converting our
thoughts is
all the miracle is. It is just remembering. The
light has
come. Jesus is here right now.
"It is the privilege of the forgiven to forgive.
After the
experience of reality you forget the concepts and offer
joy and wholeness. Minds
communicate. [The Bible
quote] 'blessed are the pure in heart' in the
Aramaic
'heart' means 'mind.'
"Death is not real. Salvation comes from your one
self. Offer wholeness. Know you are light. Jesus
offers you the power of your own mind.
"ACIM concepts will not work for you unless you
come into your own responsibility. "I am
responsible
for what I see." [As long as you] know that
you are
not guilty is how long you
stay in the holy instant.
"Why label anything? Simply call it transformation,
call it good, the Holy Spirit's help.
The light has come.
Jesus is resurrected. Jesus'
story is your story.
If there is pain along the
way
call it transformation.
I have a low pain
tolerance.
[I say quickly] I have no
need for this. Make
statements that reflect there is no need for guilt.
Time is for your resurrection.
"Ego is a funny term [simple meaning] all reflections
are your own judgments. What do I want to
experience?
Regret nothing. Experience the constancy of your
reality ever creating as [your own] healer.
"You made 'death' and are capable of changing it.
Only creation of light exists.There are many helpers,
but Jesus is for you. His message is: There is no
death, the son of God is like his Father. Teach
that
I did not die. Share. Come up to this new
range.
Alden: "Everything fails in this
world. We are in an
impossible situation and therefore become more
desperate to return home.
"[Salvation] isn't in words. Let the mind be the
director
of the body instead of the body directing the
mind. We
are afraid of another change. The first [seeming]
change
was fearful [when we accepted the idea we could be
something we are not]. The dream has no meaning.
It
is time to go home. The balm of Gilliad [OT term
for a
holy healing ointment] allows the mind to make a gentle
shift. There is nothing to be afraid of.
You are saved.
You cannot reverse that. You are already created
by
God and can't be what you are not.
"Miracles reestablish who is in charge. They show
this world is not our home. They give a
vision of what
is beyond time, and then [we seemingly come] back
to earth again, but here we are just having the [false]
experience. No one is in this room. Nothing
is going
on here except the demonstration of the possibility
that you can go home. You can jump to the end of
time. [A different] interpretation of time is
given you
this instant. Each moment becomes pure
light. Form
doesn't matter. When minds that [seem to] hate
each
other join together in the light -- that is the
miracle.
"ACIM is the constant reminder your awakening
is
not what you think it is. It is the
declaration that
you have no past."
