Subject: How do we know if any state is ego or truth?
It's been said that it is the nature of the ego,which I take to be the belief in our separated self; to lie to us. A friend and I have been discussing how obscuring truth is the ego's very function.
That being so he asks how can we know whether any state of being is ego or truth? It's sort of a tangled hierarchy, right ... since we've seemingly got one foot firmly planted in this illusionary world can we ever, in your opinion; get a clear experience while in a state of Simplistic Meditation of a non separated self of wholeness and oneness while we are seemingly still in this body where Reality is obscured by the ego smokescreen of our material body's sense systems for collecting and analyzing data?
