No, it'll come through SIMS anyway, which will route it back out. But 
you need to specify it as:

<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> = [EMAIL PROTECTED]

or you may wish to direct all mail for the new domain to them, like this:

<*@newaddress.com> = [EMAIL PROTECTED]
