Probably not what you want, but I wrote a WebDNA scriptlet runs an
AppleScript on the mail server that changes the user's password.  It's a
workaround for email clients without the PWD protocol, but it works like a
charm.

Albeit, it does require WebCatalog or Typhoon Pro (or Typhoon "Lite" would
even work) from Smith-Micro.  I'd be happy to share if anyone is interested.
