I posted this on the CommuniGate Pro list, and it generated some discussion. As OS X becomes the standard Mac OS, CommuniGate Pro starts being of interest to more people who have been using SIMS, and so I thought I'd toss this out to the SIMS community:
===== On the subject of licensing, has Stalker thought at all about offering lower end [CommuniGate Pro] licenses? Something like $99 for 10 users/1 list or no lists/email-only tech support? I'd buy two right off the bat-- one for my home network (currently planning on using SIMS, Stalker's excellent freeware mail server) and one for my office's backup mailserver (currently using SIMS as well). Besides being a source of income that's not currently being tapped (much as I love CGPro, ain't no way I spend $500 for my home email server, even if it would allow me to give myself and each cat 16 separate email addresses), it might also help spread the joy of CGPro to hobbyists who can then convince their employers to spend big bucks on larger installations. I can't believe I'm the only one who'd be interested in a CGPro Basic license-- has anybody else a need/interest in this sort of thing? -- Dave Pooser Manager of Information Services Alford Media http://www.alfordmedia.com ############################################################# This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.
