Hi all, Recently, my SIMS server, mail.niftyneato.com, was on the end of an address harvest and it correctly responded by temp banning the offending IP.
Unfortunately, the IP was the secondary mail server, mx2.speakeasy.net, run by my ISP for my domain, and of course I expect legitimate email to come from there on occasion. So, my question is what is the best way to prevent the secondary from being banned( simply adding it to the router? ) and does this actually point out a problem where incoming mail is being routed through the secondary even though my machine has priority and is presumably reachable?
