Yes. That is how it works. Could you give more details about the router you have, please. When you say "earthlink router" I assume you mean a router that Earthlink has given you as part of the service, and you have no access to configure that router yourself. If you do not have a router; but, Earthlink has given you a SDSL "modem" then the single static IP would be assigned to the computer running the Vicomsoft gateway software. In this case the situation is quite simple.
