Did you actually try <ralph> = spamtrap ?

This is exactly what I do on mine (and was included in the example I
sent to you).

I don't have any accounts on my backup MX either, only anti-spam
entries, and domain1.com=domain1.com.smtp entries in the router.  It
rejects the generic spamtraps fine, regardless what domain I specify.

Sims 1.8d14 on both sides (though I've been doing it previous versions).
