Just out of curiosity, I did a quick comparison of the number of real
incoming emails to rejected emails on our main mail server yesterday.
A fairly typical day, judging from the size of the daily activity log.
1821 real emails were delivered (some of those were spam, I can
promise you, since they came into my accounts).
6451 rejected as blacklisted/spamtrapped, user unknown, or "sending
domain does not exist"
I would have guessed about 1/3 to 1/4, so I guess 22% isn't too far off.
