Sorry, I had you confused with another recent thread. Since your situation
is different, some of my earlier comments obviously don't fit.

Depending on the amount of incoming mail you expect, you need enough
receiving channels to handle the traffic. One sending channel would
probably suffice but, again depending on the volume of mail and your
available bandwidth, more could be useful. If SIMS has two messages in its
queue to send on to your primary and two sending channels available, it can
send the messages simultaneously. If there's only one sending channel, it
would have to send them sequentially.

It is a relay, but it's one that you explicitly allow. As long as you're
accepting mail from other hosts and then turning around to send it to a
different host, it's a relay (IOW, the mail is not being delivered to a
local account on the secondary). You want to relay mail for your domain(s)
to your primary server, but you don't want to be an 'open' relay that
anyone can use to send mail from anywhere to anywhere. The '.smtp' line(s)
in your router allows relays to your primary, and only for mail addressed
to your domain(s). 'Relay for Clients Only' and a restrictive set of IP
addresses in the Client Hosts list ensure that you're not open to arbitrary
third party relays.

Correct, provided that the Outer Mongolian IP is not in a blacklist that's
being used by the secondary.

You'll probably want to send 'Directly to Recipients'. the 'via Foreign
Mail Server' option is for situations where you can't make direct
connections to destination servers, as in the case where an ISP doesn't
allow outgoing port 25 traffic.

Yes. The '.smtp' simply tells SIMS to relay mail addressed to
pecandeluxe.com to the MX for pecandeluxe.com.

Sorry again for adding to your confustication earlier.
