There is a size limit. I don't think it's the number of lines, though,
rather it's the size of the text data. I don't know for sure, but I suspect
the limit is probably 32K. I ran into it a while back because I use a lot
of comments in my blacklist to document when and why entries are made. I
think I had about 300 lines when I first hit the limit. Since then, I've
started keeping the commented version in a text file. I have an AppleScript
that I use with BBEdit to strip the comments, remove extraneous spaces and
copy the blacklist to the clipboard so that I can paste it into SIMS. I use
the same script with my router as well (lots of entries routing bad guys to
'error'). My current uncommented blacklist is 654 lines with 17,717
characters.
