My setup has been rock stable for months ... er ... years
But all of a sudden, SIMS has started error 1 crashing every so often; restarting it by hand solves the problem for awhile, until it crashes again. Luckily I also have AutoShare and MacCoach on this machine, so I can set them to the highest level of surveillance and have them restart SIMS almost immediately.
Did you check the harddisk with a disk repair utility? What about a Desktop Rebuild?? When a Mac has crashed once it's more likely to crash again but sooner than before and so it goes on until it won't even start anymore...
