Is there any way to stop spammers from using my email address as a
return address on their spam? I have no idea why, but I have begun
getting numerous messages from mail servers on legitimate networks
returning undeliverable spam which purports to have come from me. A few
of the messages included the original spam, which includes links to an
image stored at an IP address assigned to/by a company in Romania. I
also got some with an IP address in Mexico (that is, the IP block was
assigned to a Mexican ISP). Another thing that is infuriating about
this is that both my active email addresses have been used by spammers.
Unfortunately, this list is the only place both these email addresses
appear. While I can't prove it, I suspect this list is the source. If I
am alone in this, though, maybe not.
