If some of my users keep a large POP mailbox on my SIMS system, say 10-15MB of undownloaded attachments for messages they have already seen, does that bog down the server and/or slow down their performance each time they connect to check their mail?
I have a couple users with large mailboxes like that and I'm worried that if they are automatically checking messages every few minutes during the day that it can be an awesome load on my old low RAM Mac 6100 server if it has to parse through that file each time to find the one new message at the end. ############################################################# This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.
