We have problem on receiving mails started last monday, we found out that our machine got spam attacks (based on abnormal in and out packets from mrtg)and after checking on the logs, we got these errors:
00:00:52 1 SMTP too many (50) lines already opened 00:00:52 1 SMTP(tcp) Rejecting Connection from [ip], seq=246442. 9/10 our log for that went to 50 MB and it keeps on saying that error, different IPs. We are only using SIMS to receive emails but it seems that its take time to receive a 30k message which compared before which is fast. This our settings: [SMTP Settings] SMTP settings:tcp channels 0 retry every 6 hrs retry 3 times Receiving channels: 25 appletalk:0 Antispam options: Relay for clients only:checked -->client hosts:ip of the machine Black list DNS server checked verify return paths:checked [POP Settings] TCP:25 AppleTalk:0 Do u have any idea why we got this problem, is it possible our MAC server is already compromised or we still experiencing this spam attacks.
