If this is a bounce, then wouldn't the X-originating-IP header be fairly
trustworthy, since the bouncing server is not a spammer it would have no
reason to forge headers. Unless I am misunderstaning the word
"originating".
Probably, but that helps you not at all. SIMS never sees that other IP. You COULD blacklist it, but it is most likely a zombie or virus infected PC, and there's not a lot of point.
You can fill your blacklist 1,000 times and never get al the zombied PCs out there.
