Trying to build simulavr 1.1.0 from a tarball:
https://git.savannah.nongnu.org/cgit/simulavr.git/snapshot/simulavr-release-1.1.0.tar.gz
produces this message from cmake:
CMake Error at cmake/GetGitInfo.cmake:17 (string):
string sub-command REPLACE requires at least four arguments.
Call Stack (most recent call first):
CMakeLists.txt:15 (get_git_info)
-- version major / minor / patch
Applying the patch from bug #58230 does not help.
You cannot assume that everyone who wants to build your software is doing so
in a git clone.
