Client Management Tip of the Week
 "Just Do It!"
Back in the late 1980's, Nike came out with a catchy slogan that has since become a legend in the folklore of advertising genius.  Under powerful images of athletes running, jumping, diving, swinging, throwing, and a host of other athletic endeavors, were these three simple words:  "Just do it!"  It's an inspiring message that continues to cut to the very core of our lives.  Consider the
following implications of "Just do it!" that place it among the top ten in our character-building list.

1.  It's an imperative to take action.  The ability, not just the desire, to take action is often the dividing line between success and failure.  The people who have made history are not those with good intentions, but those who made good on their intentions.  Sooner or later, if you're ever going to advance, you're going to have to do something!
 2. It assumes conscientiousness.  There's no need to qualify the statement by adding the word "right" at the end.  When we think, "Just do it!", doing it right is implied.  Chasing one's tail is for dogs and cats and other species that actually have one—not people.  At least, by their anatomy, they have something to chase.  We don't!  We shouldn't even consider doing anything unless we're going to do it right!
3.  It describes the highest point.  In life there are ultimately three levels: 1) the level of knowledge, 2) the level of belief, and 3) the level of action.  What good is it to have the knowledge and even the conviction, if you don't act upon what you know and believe to be right?  Some of our greatest regrets in life often stem from times when we hesitated to do the right thing.
So ... whatever it is this week that's important but still languishing in your in-basket of good intentions ... why don't you take it out, dust it off, take one last, good hard look at it, and then ...
just do it!
Thought for the Week

“There are risks and costs to a program of action.  But they are far less than the long range risks and costs of comfortable inaction.”
John F. Kennedy
