Your use of "root" was apt, with the central "root" of the spherical
hierarchy being the most stable and with increasing rate of change
extending to the outermost "leaves".  I would expect increasing
stability because the structure of this mind would reflect an
increasingly refined model of nature's laws, which I see as providing a
near-solid core but near-infinite flexibility (variety) in the fine
detail.

Interaction at the tips would appear to be increasingly diverse and
unstable, while the overall structure, becoming increasingly refined in
a weighted fashion, would appear to be increasingly stable.
