I have been badly looking for a simple DNS SRV resolver API for using in a UA in order to locate the local SIP Proxy server. The UA has been written in C++. Can someone suggest me something other than BIND 8? BIND 8 redefines certain functions like getaddrinfo, getnameinfo, etc. and this has been creating a lot of problem, basically due to the clash of definitions in both GLIBC and BIND 8. I am developing this on Redhat 7.3 and I have already given a thought about the RULI API, but this one needs Liboop which can't be installed due to compilation error during make. I tried searching extensively in Google, but to no avail :-( Can someone who has already used DNS query in his/her SIP application, at least share the programming experience with DNS with me? Any kind of response will be highly appreciated.
Best regards, Rajarshi
