Sarika,
I love this question, but I don't have an answer for you - just
some thoughts. It is legit to have a REGISTER request without a contact
field so says 3261, so I believe it. Section 10.2.3 Fetching Bindings
states:

"A success response to any REGISTER request contains the complete list
of existing bindings, regardless of whether the request contained a
Contact header field. If no Contact header field is present in a
REGISTER request, the list of bindings is left unchanged."

Now a Register request does not create a dialog, so it wont know
to explicitly return contacts for the UA so will it return all contacts ?
(that would be alot and probably a good method for a DoS attack !). I am
thinking it would be a successful final response with no contacts - 200 OK
but I am guessing. Help ?.

        Regards, Wayne D.
