ACK is directly sent to UAS and if your proxy has added Record route,
ACK would come to your proxy bypassing previous proxies and in that case
u may get different Via and branch.

Is the Via header same?

Subject: [Sip-implementors] Right behaviour of a SIP proxy by unexpected
ACK

Hello,

our proxy was receiving and forwarding an INVITE. The UAS answers with a
180 Ringing which the proxy forwards. But now the UAC sends an ACK with
a different Via branch to the proxy - the Call-ID, To-Tag, From-Tag,
CSeq, everything is right.

What should be the right behaviour from the proxy. Drop it or forward
it. At the moment I don't find the answer in RFC 3261.

Thank you in advance.

Markus
