Hi,

AFAIK,

1) 300 Multiple Choices - Is a generic redirection message giving
alternative contacts.
2) 301 Moved Permanently - Is a specific redirection message that tells UAC
that the contact has moved permanently, s.t. in future this server need not
be contacted.

regards,
bd
