Hi,

This is a query about the offer/answer model and reliable provisional responses. I have two endpoints that seem to have a different interpretation of RFC3262. The sequence is as follows:

UA1 UA2 | INVITE (offer1) | |--------------------->| | 183 (answer1) | |<---------------------| | PRACK | |--------------------->| | 200 | |<---------------------|(PRACK) | 180 | |<---------------------| | PRACK | |--------------------->| | 200 | |<---------------------|(PRACK) | | | | | 200 | |<---------------------|(INVITE) |***** | | ACK | |--------------------->| | BYE | |--------------------->| | 200 | |<---------------------| | |

At ***** UA1 complains that there is no SDP in the 200 and then ACKs and BYEs the call. This leads to 2 questions:

1) I thought the offer/answer exchange completed after the reliable 183. If so UA1 should not _expect_ an SDP in the 200OK for the INVITE. Is this correct?

2) Are there any issues with repeating the answer1 SDP in the 200OK for the INVITE?
