Hi,

The RFC2543 is obsoletes by RFC3261.
The original INVITE and Re-INVITE is basically the same method INVITE.

You can refer to the faq at http://www.cs.columbia.edu/sip/faq/
You can also refer to http://www.iptel.org/sip/

Thanks,
Neel

Subject: [Sip-implementors] Invite or re-Invite for Hold?

Hi experts,
if I wish to make a hold between UA X and UA Y which method most I use
INVITE or re-INVITE?
In rfc 2543 I read re-Invite request but many devices and Sip Soft Phones
use Invite!
Regards,
