Hi,

I want to know whether in SIP URI the host name part is case sensitive or
Case insenstive i.e. [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED] are they
equivalent.

Hi,
yes, sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED] and sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED] are equivalent. Instead, the userinfo part is case-sensitive.
However, RFC3261 section 19.1.4 says:

"Comparison of the userinfo of SIP and SIPS URIs is case-sensitive. This includes userinfo
containing passwords or formatted as telephone-subscribers.
Comparison of all other components of the URI is case-insensitive unless explicitly defined otherwise."
