Hello,

Most SIP UA which support fax calls use a prefix code (to be dialed the
user) to make outgoing fax calls and switch to fax tones. Is there a
convention/ standard value for the digit sequence (typically
*<num><num>) to be dialled by the user ? If so, what is the prefix for
fax calls ? Is it documented anywhere by IETF/ ITU-T as to what codes
should be used for what feature (privacy, call forwarding etc.) ?

Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

regards,

Gaurav
