Hi Geetha, UPDATE is very similar to a re-INVITE. As RFC3311 says, things are processed the same way as "any mid-dialog target refresh request".
There are some small differences. I recommend that you look at RFC3311, especially the section "5 UPDATE Handling" and then glance at Tables 1 and 2.
