César,
The q parameter is evidence of a bug, either in your UA or in
Asterisk. Show us the REGISTER message and it should be clear who is
at fault.
I suspect that the q parameter was present on the contact in the
register. If so, it should have been a header parameter, but Asterisk
apparently interpretted it as a URI parameter.
If the contact in the register was:
Contact: sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:5060;q=0.8
then askterisk is at fault. If it was:
Contact: <sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:5060;q=0.8>
then your UA was at fault.

Hi All,
I'm trying to register an UA(IP Phone) in a server(asterisk) that
sends the message below in response a Register Request:
OPTIONS sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:5060;q=0.8 SIP/2.0
Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 192.168.200.254:5060;branch=z9hG4bK73e5f4df
From: "asterisk" <sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>;tag=as535ce60c
To: <sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:5060;q=0.8>
Contact: <sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Call-ID: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
CSeq: 102 OPTIONS
User-Agent: Asterisk PBX
Date: Tue, 15 Nov 2005 11:57:48 GMT
Allow: INVITE, ACK, CANCEL, OPTIONS, BYE, REFER
Content-Length: 0
According to RFC3261 the OPTIONS method (standard) is:
OPTIONS sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED] SIP/2.0
Via: SIP/2.0/UDP pc33.atlanta.com;branch=z9hG4bKhjhs8ass877
Max-Forwards: 70
To: <sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
From: Alice <sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>;tag=1928301774
Call-ID: a84b4c76e66710
CSeq: 63104 OPTIONS
Contact: <sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Accept: application/sdp
Content-Length: 0
Does anybody know what is "q=0.8" in the message options above?
Rgs
César
