If you have some previous nonce from the server, then it is possible for you to construct an authenticator; there is nothing that requires the server to accept it, however. Whether or not to challenge is entirely up to the server, and it may apply any policies it likes in deciding what to challenge. It may have expired the nonce because it is too old or used too many time, or because it was associated with a different dialog. -- Scott Lawrence tel:+1-781-938-5306;ext=162 or sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Consulting Engineer - Pingtel Corp. http://www.pingtel.com/ sipXpbx project coordinator - SIPfoundry http://www.sipfoundry.org/sipX _______________________________________________ Sip-implementors mailing list [email protected] http://lists.cs.columbia.edu/mailman/listinfo/sip-implementors
