Thanks Bala and all of you..!!

I agree that SDP decoder should be liberal and should accept the values
in both cases.

Thanks,
Sunil

The RFC 2327 doesn't talk about case sensitive in this case. But it
recommends sending in lower case. But in order to make implementation
robust, the SDP decoder can choose to be liberal and accept both
lower/upper
case media type in media field.

Also RFC 2327 doesn't allow white spaces before and after =.

Thanks,
Neel

Subject: [Sip-implementors] SDP Problem

Hi all,

Is SDP value send in any SDP parameter Case-Sensitive...??

For eg.

m=audio 8216 RTP/AVP 0 8 18 2 this is the way we generally send the SDP,

Suppose we send the value "audio" in the following format, should the
SIP stack accept the SDP value?

1. m= AUDIO 8216 RTP/AVP 0 8 18 2
2. m= AuDiO 8216 RTP/AVP 0 8 18

Also, are the other remaining SDP parameters Case Sensitive..???

Thanks,
Sunil
