Hi,

Yaa we will have a timer and we will release the call if we didn't receive 200 o.k in a pre-defined time.

Subject: [Sip-implementors] wait time for 200 ok

Hi all,

Suppose A calls B.

B responds with 180 Ringing. But does not send 200 ok or 200 ok gets
lost.

How long should A wait before sending Cancel / Request timeout?

Hi,

I think an application level timer should be started and it should go
off after some predefined time,if no final response is received on the
ICT. Since, Timer B is stopped ( I think it is , not sure ) when
entering Proceeding state, I don't see any other means to get the
transaction out of the Proceeding state, other than some application
layer mechanism.

Cheers,
Amith
