Have you tried a little bit of analysis, like using a tool such as Ethereal to
see what's being sent to the client?

I'm talking about GIZMO call out ( to PSTN ) , where the call out
balance is displayed on the phone.

My question is how this credit is displayed on the phone? Through some
kind of SUB/NOT mechanism or a proprietary approach?

Thanks,

I don't believe that there is any charging function being performed in
the Gizmo client. I've been using the Cornfed client with SIPPhone and
I know others have used other SIP devices with their service and there
has never been any issue with billing. I don't know for sure, but it
would make sense for them to maintain billing information on their
servers.
