[ABN] there is no standard way to generate a branch parameter. the basic requirement is that should be globally unique. one of the simplest option could be concatenation of MM:DD:TT:HH:MM:SS and username -- this is not mentioned in the 3261, but this could be done to meet the requirements mentioned in 3261... for proxies we might need to perform these set of operations in addition to steps mentioned in sec 16.6 point - 8. Is it a must to follow MD5 algorithm??? [ABN] NO, its not required to use MD5 for branch id generation...
