We have a commercial solution, named "ComunIP SIP Server". It runs on
Linux/Windows and uses Fast-CGI interface to be able to run server
scripts like PHP, Ruby, Java or even C/C++. We are currently running
this software in an ASP group (Brasil Telecom), in a distributed
environment with six Linux machines, behind an equipment that actually
does the load balance in network/transport layer (Alteon). All framework
work together to provide IM/Call services. The system works integrated
to Web services, as we use PHP in server scripts. The used database is
MySQL.
