Yes, sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:6000 is legal

It will cause you to skip NAPTR and SRV and go straight to A (or AAAA)  
in DNS, use port 6000 and UDP.

See RFC3263 for a discussion about this and all the other variants on  
resolving where to send SIP requests.
