Hi,

I have a question regarding the IP address in the C-line of the SDP
message (RFC 4566).

The main purpose of the IP address in the C-line in the SDP message is
to indicate to the peer to what IP address it should send its RTP
packets.

However, my question is related to the RTP packets received from the
originator of this SDP message:

Does the sender of this SDP message obliged to put the same IP address
also in the IP header of the RTP packets it sends to the peer?

Or in other words:

Can the receiver of the SDP message assume that RTP packets from the
sender of the SDP message will have this IP address in their IP header?

We made this assumption for better protection against DOS attacks and
zombie RTP senders, however we already met a requirement to ignore the
received IP address.

Please advice!
