My apologies if this isn't the correct forum for this question. I've been tasked with setting up a SIPP client to connect to one of our SIP servers, dial a number, and leave the line open for testing for n minutes. We'll need to do this in parallel for a few lines (something that SIPP seems well tasked to handle)
The problem is, is that I'm not a telecom/VoIP guy - I don't know much about the SIP protocol, nor how dialing really works (is it just DMTF tones?). I need a solution in the next few days for a client though --- does anyone have a few hours available to work as a contractor, and help write and test this? I downloaded SIPP and tried to use the default script, but I couldn't even get it to connect to the SIP server; so I'm in a bit of a pickle (and too overtasked to take the time that I usually would on it.)
