My apologies if this isn't the correct forum for this question.

I've been tasked with setting up a SIPP client to connect to one of
our SIP servers, dial a number, and leave the line open for testing
for n minutes. We'll need to do this in parallel for a few lines
(something that SIPP seems well tasked to handle)

The problem is, is that I'm not a telecom/VoIP guy - I don't know much
about the SIP protocol, nor how dialing really works (is it just DMTF
tones?). I need a solution in the next few days for a client though
--- does anyone have a few hours available to work as a contractor,
and help write and test this?  I downloaded SIPP and tried to use the
default script, but I couldn't even get it to connect to the SIP
server; so I'm in a bit of a pickle (and too overtasked to take the
time that I usually would on it.)
