Good day,

I am trying to use SIPp to stress test applications that record calls between
user agents. These calls trigger SmartWorks IPX card event messages such as
EVT_MEDIA_SESSION_STARTED that makes call recording possible. So far, I've
worked with a basic uac type scenario file (ex: -sf uac9.xml -inf db02.csv)

The resulting call flow is perfect, there are no errors (-trace_err), the RTP
is bidirectional (with -rtp_echo) but there are no UDP ports (-t un) to
receive it in the Windows version although the Linux (Latest unstable) version,
the one I'm actually using, does open individual UDP ports, one for each
simulated call. There seems to be a problem with the [local_port] variable
though. I've tried injecting values to no avail ...

I'm actually trying to emulate ToucStone WinSip's call scenario (Demo version -
Licensed version is much too expensive) which works perfectly with my Asterisk
call plan and the SmartWorks IPX card. I've gone through the process of
comparing every part of the protocol (WinSip vs SIPp call flows) etc. I've read
the SIPp documentation (http://sipp.sourceforge.net/doc/reference.html) and
I've read quite a few messages on the sipp-users mail archive (Still at it!).
Any help would be soooooo much appreciated!

Am I using the right scenario? Can SIPp emulate real user agent client calls?
Is there anyone out there who has successfully gone through a similar
experience?

I would very much like to continue using SIPp; it is a fine piece of software,
no doubt at all!

Thank very much!
