Hi,

could you capture the SIP traffic using wireshark or tcpdump and send it?

Hi!

I'm having problems with packets being discarded without an apparent
reason (I cannot find any).

My scenario is very simple:
SIPP          SIP application
    INVITE
---------------->
     606
<----------------
     ACK
---------------->

At very low call rates (<10cps) everything goes fine but as soon as I
increase the call rate I get more and more dropped 606 packets
(discarded by SIPP) apparently because no matching call has been found
for that particular message.

I have taken several packet captures and analyzed each of the dropped
messages, byte by byte and I cannot find any reason for them to be
dropped.

Below is an example (this packet was later resent in my trace). Before
this packet was dropped(this one was the first dropped in my test),
more than 300 similar packets were accepted by SIPP without complain.
And more are accepted and dropped afterwards.

This test is being run in two identical virtual machines (VMware)
running Linux Debian 4.

- Has anyone experienced this kind of problems?
- Could I possibly be doing something wrong in configuring SIPP?
- Could the problem be related to using VMware?

Any help/advice you could give me is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Victor M.
