curl-loader is an open-source C-written web application testing and load generating tool.
The goal of the project is to deliver a powerful and flexible performance loading and testing tool as a certain open-source alternative to Spirent Avalanche and IXIA IxLoad. It uses HTTP, FTP protocol stacks of libcurl and TLS/SSL stack of openssl, simulating tens of thousand users/clients each with own IP-address. The tool supports user authentication flavors, login and a range of statistics. This version is a stabilization version, tested with up to 60K clients (old 2 CPU Xeon + 2-4 GB memory computer) from a single curl-loader process.
