Simon,

You can put what you like in the Call-ID that you send; however to get the
replies matched against the call record you need to have the right Call-ID
in the internal table for that call. The only was to do that on the client
is to give the Call-ID as a command line parameter - given that, you might
as well send the built in value. (If you have multiple calls it helps if the
Call-IDs are different.)

Subject: [Sipp-users] Custom Call_ID

Hi boys and girls,

While I think I know the answer, I need a little confirmation.

Allow me to set the scene: I wish to use a custom CALL ID field header

and not use the built-in SIPp CALL_ID keyword. I currently need a

scenario where I use a custom CALL ID field header in a SIP SUBSCRIBE

request, however SIPp ignores the 200 OK reply.

I have seen previous mails on similar topics and the reason is "you

must use the CALL_ID keyword." What is the official reasoning behind

this and is there a work around or plans? Briefly, how does SIPp work

internally with the CALL ID keyword.

Thanks in advance,

Simon
