Thanks Mario. This is just a test machine in a very un-connected
environment. So I’ll just write my password there.
Thanks for your help.

Matti

Hello,

I think it’s rather a permission than a browser issue. If the process is
killable with sudo, you can try to modify the php file which does the
process killing.
In stop_sipp.php on line 47 change the line
  exec("kill -KILL ".$pid);
to something like
  exec("echo \"password\" | sudo -S kill -KILL ".$pid);

I haven’t tested it, but it should work. Anyway, I don’t think I need to
mention that it is not wise to write your root password in a plaintext file.
If you find a better solution, please let me know.

Hi all,

Any suggestions in what direction I can search for the answer when I can’t
kill sipp processes from within the web application?
“Unable to kill process with pid xxxxx”
The process is owned by Apache, and fully killable with sudo in the
terminal.

Starting processes is fine. And System Information shows version without
problems.

Trying Safari, Firefox and Explorer on WIN.
Apache 2.2.3
CentOS 5.2
