Sorry - looks like I completely missed your point here. The idea is that we want to "push" minor upgrades, but we want a major upgrade to be a more conscious decision. My Fedora 8 system reminds me that there are "new components available", but it does not tell me "there is Fedora 9" available. But if people think this in an artificial distinction I suppose sipXconfig can treat both in the same way. BTW: I know that Ubuntu does try to push newer OS versions this way - at least it did on my friend's computer and to my amazement she updated the OS without even calling me. > > "Major version upgrade" - from 4.0 to 4.2 > > "You are currently running sipXecs 4.0.0, there is a 4.2.0 version > available. _Click this link to read more._ > __ > The link would take them to the "changes" page in a separate browser window. > > Upgrade options would be the same. > > - upgrade now > - upgrade later (selecting this keeps the reminder on all screens but takes > admin back to Home screen.) > - skip this upgrade (selecting this makes reminder message disappear until > the next update.)" > _______________________________________________ sipx-dev mailing list [email protected] List Archive: http://list.sipfoundry.org/archive/sipx-dev Unsubscribe: http://list.sipfoundry.org/mailman/listinfo/sipx-dev
