I did a quick check, and it does look like the stack is doing symmetric signaling for UDP. At least, when my test system sends 'reg' SUBSCRIBEs from the proxy to the registrar, it is sent from port 5060 to port 5075.
(This doesn't explain why they are sent via UDP, since forwardingrules.xml says to use TCP. I'll check into that. But it is a test for symmetric signaling via UDP.)
