I took a Arjun's patch for this feature. It adds generation of a new 'presencerouting-prefs.xml'. It's a configuration file used by registrar. Arjun marked it as 'restartRequired'='false' meaning that sipXconfig will not force 'registrar' restart after this file is generated. It seemed safe to me: sipXconfig needs to generates this file whenever any user information changes but since it was marked as not requiring restart it didn't seem very disruptive. However Robert now asks that sipXconfig restarts registrar whenever this file changes. I know registrar is stateless but is this seem to be a high prise to pay for an advanced feature like that. registar is mostly using IMDB datasets to retrieve user information, those do not require any restarts. Isn't it a better option in this case than a configuration file?
