While it would be nice to see sipfoundry gain some independence, 95%+ of the 
development and sipfoundry organization are now Avaya employees.

I was always suspect that Avaya understood the opensource culture and its 
value.  I suspect over the next few releases we will see the community edition 
all but stagnate.

Similar fate happened to DimDim.  The community edition is so old and dated 
that the two editions (community and commercial) are not really even the same 
product anymore. 

I feel for the developers....I'm sure they are not thrilled.
