Hi All
Consider the following scenario of alarm notification:
Steps:
------
1. Go to Diagnostics->Alarms->Alarm Groups. Add a new Alarm group by the name "test". 2. Add an email address in the email notification section (lets say, u...@localhost) and Press OK. 3. Go to Diagnostics->Alarms->Configuration and configure "Emergency number dialed" alarm into "test" alarm group and press Apply. 4. Generate a "Emergency number dialed" alarm by dialing an emergency number.
Expected result:
-----------------
The email notification of the alarm should be sent to the configured email address (in this case the local user).
Actual Result:
--------------
The email notification is not sent to the email address configured in the "test" alarm group. If we press the Apply button again in Diagnostics->Alarms->Configuration web page and generate the alarm (by dialing the emergency number), then the alarm
notifications are sent properly to the configured alarm group.
After analysis of the sipxsupervisor.log (attached in this mail) of the problem scenario, I observed that the sipXalarms-config.xml file is replicated/updated after the Notifiers (EmailNotifier,SmsNotifier, TrapNotifier) are created and alarm def (sipXalarms-config.xml) file is loaded. So the newly configured alarm group of the alarm is not read by the Notifiers and hence it doesn't send the notifications to the email address configured in the new alarm group(test). A recent change might have caused this behavior. Is there an open issue for this in the JIRA? P.S: I have attached the sipxsupervisor.log of the problem scenario in this mail. It contains log messages generated after executing only the 3rd step mentioned above.
