Please check the following proxy status which will be stopped
after few seconds
      [root@sipx-test ~]# /etc/init.d/sipxproxy status
      sipXproxy (pid 3621) is running...
      [root@sipx-test ~]# /etc/init.d/sipxproxy restart
      Stopping sipXproxy: [ OK ]
      [root@sipx-test ~]# /etc/init.d/sipxproxy status [ OK ]
      sipXproxy (pid 18658) is running...
     After 10secs
     [root@sipx-test ~]#[root@sipx-test ~]# /etc/init.d/sipxproxy status
sipXproxy dead but pid file exists

   Regards,
