Would there be opposition to a patch that removes the compiler flag Wno-unused-result for older gcc versions.
Our Suse/SLES builds choke on this as it was added in GCC 4.5 but we are using a slightly older version (4.3.4). It does compile fine without it and considering its just a warning I dont think it would cause much harm. Comments? We have removed it from our builds eitherway as it allows us to preform in-place upgrades but we like to keep as close to main as possible. Less work for us to maintain. So far I havent seen any other issues using GCC 4.3.4. Does anyone know of any? -M
